Metal Slug 7 is on the UsuArcade coming-soon list. Once it lands in the arcade, it will play as online two-player co-op: you on your phone or PC, your friend on theirs, in the same game and in real time.
History
SNK Playmore released Metal Slug 7 in 2008 for the Nintendo DS, after years of the series living mostly in arcades. The story once again pits the Peregrine Falcon Squad against General Morden, who this time has backup from troops that arrived from the future.
The hero lineup includes Marco, Tarma, Eri and Fio, joined by Ralf and Clark, two veterans of SNK's fighting games. Later on, the game got an expanded version for PSP and other platforms called Metal Slug XX.
How to play
Run and gun from left to right, shooting in eight directions, jumping and tossing grenades. Free the bearded POWs tied up along the way for new weapons and points: heavy machine gun, flamethrower, rocket launcher, shotgun and a few surprises.
Every character has an edge: Ralf and Clark hit harder up close, while the others handle like they did in earlier games. Jump into the Slug vehicles to crank up your firepower and soak up a hit or two. Each mission ends with a massive multi-phase boss.
Like every Metal Slug, the golden rule is keep moving: enemies come from every direction.
