Alien vs. Predator was the cabinet that crammed three friends in front of one screen. Capcom put it out in 1994, at the height of its beat 'em up golden age, mixing punches, guns and movie monsters in an overrun city.
For a lot of players it was the hidden gem of the mid-90s arcade, and it's remembered fondly because you could never play it at home.
History
Capcom built it on its CPS-2 board using the Alien and Predator license. The story teams a pair of soldiers with two Predators, allies out of necessity, against an Alien invasion.
It never got an official home console release, which made it one of those games you could only enjoy at the arcade.
How to play
Pick from four fighters: Major Dutch Schaefer with his cybernetic arm, Lt. Linn Kurosawa with her speed and sword, and two Predators, the Hunter and the Warrior. Fight through the city punching and blasting waves of Aliens.
Grab weapons like rifles or flamethrowers, each with limited ammo, and mix up hits, dashes and special attacks. Every stage ends with a giant Alien boss.
